Zaha Hadid – Iraqi British Architect.

1. HEYDAR ALIYEV CENTER IN BAKU:

The construction of the centre’s facility was launched in 2007 and completed on May 10, 2012. It is located in Baku, Azerbaijan. It is famous for its fluid shape. It is the reference to Islamic calligraphy and elements of the traditional Azeri architecture. It is a 57,500 m2 building and its height 74m.Its shell is made out of a steel space frame and glass -fibre-reinforced concrete panels.

2. GALAXY SOHO (SOUTH OF HOUSTON STREET)IN BEIJING:

It is an urban complex building located in Beijing, China. It is built between 2009 &2012.The top level of the building is for bars, restaurants & cafes and the levels immediately below provide workspaces for clusters of innovative business. The lower three levels for facilities for retail and entertainment. Its height 67m and 330 000m2 office.

3. GUANGZHOU OPERA HOUSE:

It is at the heart of Guangzhou’s cultural development. It is unique for its twin-boulder design. It is inaugurated on May 9,2010.Its floor area (approx) 71000m2 and opera Hall’s seating capacity is 1804.Its twin-boulder design enhances the city by opening it to the pearl river. The opera house is made of granite and glass and is supported by a steel frame. For the interior surface of the main theatre they used glass fibre reinforced gypsum.

4. INNOVATION TOWER:

Jockey Club Innovation Tower is a building of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hung Hom campus. It is located on Hung Hom district, Kowloon. This building is her (Zaha Hadid) first permanent work in Hong Kong. It is completed on 2014.It has15,000 square metre and can accommodate about 1,800 staff and students. It is 76 meter-high building.

5. THE RIVERSIDE MUSEUM:

The Riverside museum is a Hyper-modern museum with collections of historic vehicles and state-of the-art interactive displays. It is located in UK. The museum is on the site of the former A.& J. Inglis shipyard within Glasgow Harbour, on the north bank of the River Clyde & adjacent to its confluence point with the River Kelvin. This museum has a collection of 3,000 objects. This building opened in June 2011.The museum won “European Museum of the Year Award” in 2013.
